just had my first driving lesson with the new private instructor Mr Heng.. he's much better than the instructors i've had in Comfort Driving School.. he's more lao jiao lah.. more experienced than he can tell every mistake you make lor.. not bad.. hope to get my license in the near future.. haha..
went for the mayday concert yesterday.. it was the first concert that i paid so much to attend.. haha.. they were damn good lor.. i've decided to download all their songs! haha.. and buy their CDs when i've got the money.. really enjoyed myself in the stadium.. but the going home was bad.. had to take a bus out then take a taxi and it was already past midnight.. hai.. if only i could drive.. well i shall go watch my finding nemo dvd not... ciao..

I wanna take this oppurtunity to wish all the hindus happy deepavali! hahaha.. this festival is very ironical.. but i shall not elaborate further.. heh.. stuck doing doing in the medical centre.. not bad lah can get off then after doing this public holiday hopefully won't kenna christmas and all that holidays that i do celebrate.. going for the mayday concert tomorrow.. blew 130 bucks on the ticket.. never spent so much on a ticket before.. and ros won two tickets!! wad a lucky person.. first she won the NDP tickets and now this.. haha that's why i was telling her she should take part in more lucky draws.. who knows wad she'll win next?? haha.. hope the concert is worth the money.. if i go on spending like that i won't have anymore savings! need to save up for my expenses during university as i won't have a source of income anymore.. and some more spent $70 bucks on books yesterday.. WHSmith at novena square was having some sale and they were selling their books at 5 bucks each.. haha madnesss lah can't believe i bought so many books.. guess i'll have to get down to reading them..

i'm finally resuming my driving lessons! yay.. haha.. switched over to private cos its cheaper.. well, hope it works out and i get my license soon!

Today was the vjc open house... was really fun.. being there really reminded me how i miss school so much compared to NS.. I remember just like it was yesterday stepping into vj for the first time, orientation and learning all those mass dances.. and then seeing them dance today really brought back lots of memories.. within a blink of an eye, its been 4 open houses for me.. boy am i old.. haha.. then they were giving away bak kwa which was packaged a bit like condoms.. haha not bad lah it tasted not too bad.. heh..
interesting rite? haha.. then we went back to choir room.. really miss the days where we will pon lessons and play bridge and hearts in there.. haha.. boy do i miss school...
watched underworld today too.. not a bad show.. though it was more action than horror.. haha.. but the plot okay only lah.. but watch if u have the time lor..

hai very sian.. starting thursday, i will have to go for range.. till next wednesday.. come on lor i am a medic i am supposed to save people, not kill them! then must go through all those weapon technical handling tests again.. stupid.. hope it passes by quickly and i am able to get the marksmanship badge so at least i can get some money out of these.. i've not been having driving lessons for over a month now.. my hopes of getting my license by xmas are dashed.. haha now can only hope to get it by chinese new year.. and when i get my license i want a big SUV! haha.. i also dunno why but i like driving big cars.. kinda gives me a good feeling.. haha.. but i'll need the money to get one in the first place.. hope i can get a car once i get my license so i can drive to camp everyday.. that will save me so much time.. dun have to drag myself out of bed early every morning.. heh.. i'm so bored now i wanna go watch underworld!

went for the AHM as the cheering party today.. kinda dumb.. haha.. just see all the people running.. quite surprising to see some caucasians too.. heh.. those people are so fit! my unit got second overall and its quite a pity cos if we won, we would have won it for a straight six years and we would get to keep the trophy and maybe get more off days! damn sleepy.. had to get up so early to go see people run.. and there were so many casualties.. with the ambulance and medics running here and there... some people were so exhausted that they just stopped and couldnt walk straight liao.. and i bought two new pair of shoes today! haha the discounts at the adidas warehouse sale were very good.. i bought a pair of shoes for 100 whose original price was 249! heh guess i'll have to fast the rest of the month liao.. okay lah.. shall go watch presidents star charity..

Hello very long no blog liao.. Been so tired recently.. now having eyebags already.. haha been sleeping late and waking up early everyday.. I dunno whats the world coming too... with bomb blasts all over the place with the UN headquarters bombing being the most recent.. the jakarta bombing was also very scary as it happened so close to home and my father was supposed to go there the day after.. He's there now and i hope he's safe..

I think i should buy a tape recorder so i can tape the shows that show late at night like charmed and all that so i can sleep earlier and get rid of the eyebags and the tiredness the next day.. haha.. oh yeah and i've been promoted! haha now on i'm Lance Corporal Eugene! haha and i've got a pay rise of a hefty $20! haha... not much huh... i need to find more sources of income man.. i've applied with so many tuition agencies but none have replied.. wad other sources of income can i have? sigh..

Its national day again.. had the ticket for the parade but didnt go cos i only had one and going by yourself is sian.. anyway i already caught the preview so not bad lah.. the parade was successful amid the heightened security concerns after the jakarta bombing... my father was supposed to go there the day after it happened.. thank god.. they were quite scared cos they mobilised quite a lot of ambulances to standby.. anyway luckily nothing happened.. then say LKY crying when they played a speech video of himself, maybe it brought back many memories.. and maybe he's thinking how many national days he has left to withness.. should go to sleep soon.. got driving again tomorrow!

Just came back from the hougang constituency national day dinner.. the food was not bad.. then they had performances at the same time... it was quite fun on the whole except when at the end they ended the program before the food finished they had filler items at the end which consisted of people singing karaoke.. now i understand when they say then 'karaoke' is japanese for 'tone deaf'.. hehe.. so sleepy now.. i think i'm developing eye bags liao.. better go get some sleep..

I'm back from my first ever driving lesson! haha it was not bad lah quite fun.. but driving a manual transmission car is not so easy after all must coordinate all our movements or else the car will stall.. haha.. can't wait for my next lesson next week!

But ACJC still won in the end.. they were very good.. and i think they also had an advantage in their entertainment value.. their songs were quite interesting and not those conventional songs we sing.. but VJ still did their best and i'm very proud of them.. heh.. hope we can do better two years later and win the title!!

hello in my camp's cateen now.. today doing recce again.. went to all the hospitals in Singapore.. sit the car until my butt hurts.. haha.. still left KK.. tonite is the SYF finals.. hope VJ can finally win the title this year.. gotta go KK liao.. ciao!

Went for class gathering yesterday.. did not see them for a long time liao.. since the release of the results.. but not all came.. had a good time with them.. glad everyone is doing well.. heh.. really brought back memories of school.. then today in camp we when recceing throughout the whole of Singapore for the jetties and airports.. then drove to east coast and i remembered when we used to walk over there after school to eat gelare and Macs... and then went Katong where we used to go eat Porridge King after choir.. then i had my first bowl of Katong Laksa today! haha its not too bad.. will eat again.. haha.. then also passed by VJ.. missed the place man.. haha.. spent the whole day out of camp today.. so fun hah... then we also went for the authentic Jalan Kayu Prata.. but it was not so fantastic lah.. had better.. really miss the old days man....

Tomorrow gonna go marina bay for healthy lifestyle life run.. I had my first casualty and satisfied customer today! I was doing cover at macritchie reservoir today when some of the officers when there for marathon training and geylang methodist secondary was having their cross country there too.. then it started to rain very heavily and i guess the ground became very slippery and a girl fell and scraped the skin off her knee and the teacher brought her limping back to the finishing point.. they didnt have enough first aid facilities so i chipped in to help so i help her clean and dress her wound.. 1 life saved! haha.. feels good when u can help someone like that.. heh i like being a medic. =)

Went to try out the NEL with zhan and ros today.. the stations are very nice.. heh.. then we went harbourfront centre which was previously the World Trade Centre.. it has changed so much since i went there many years ago.. its a much more happening place now that its accessible by mrt.. then saw the art they used to decorate wood leigh station.. which is the mrt station very near a cemetery.. the art is like shadows of people on the wall.. what if they start to move at nite?! eugh.. haha shall not live there ever..

533 days to ORD!!

i passed out today finally after 3 months of training and poking!! will sure miss the school and the instructors.. they are a fun bunch.. i got posted to 2 PDF (people's defence force) which is supposedly very slack cos its a reservist camp.. and i was told its 8-5.. so yeah can go home everyday!! can get to learn driving, give tuition etc.. hehe.. but the thing is its at clementi camp.. which is damn far from home.. why cant they post me to tekong when i have a direct bus to the ferry terminal.. hai.. but i can't complain if i going to a slack unit.. =)

hey! blogger's got a new look! kewl.. anyway.. went to eat the new restaurant at cine called yuki and yaki.. its this teppenyaki buffet thingy which is not bad.. better than seoul garden.. the cool thing is the teppanyaki plate.. it can clean itself! very shen qi.. haha then it can turn cold to make ice cream.. once u pour the juice or cream onto it, it'll freeze almost immediately.. haha very cool.. then went esplanade to eat the chocolate souffle at max brenner's.. it was the best lor.. once u take the first bite u would have thought u died and went to heaven.. haha.. hai next week field camp already so went to eat some good food today.. haha.. gonna pass out next week.. hope can get posted to slack unit like tekong.. haha..

VS is moving to its new compound on tuesday.. I'm so jealous! the new building is soooo nice.. wish i could go back there to experience the new building and facilities... but i wonder how the students are going to climb to the 7th storey classrooms if they're not allowed to use the lifts.. haha i think VS students will become fitter.. gonna pass out of the medic in about 3+ weeks time.. hope i can get posted to a 9-5 job.. then i can earn more money by giving tuition and learn up my driving.. there's a lot of stuff i wanna do but just do not have the time to.. i wonder why they make us stay in when we're free by late afternoon almost everyday.. they can save the money on providing meals and accomodation for us anyway.. heh.. i wish my dad was a high rank officer in the army then life would be easier.. hehe.. hai gonna sleep liao.. hafta bookin tomorrow again...

watched matrix yesterday.. was very good.. the storyline is very deep.. and just perfect for making a final fantasy game.. heh.. the effects were stunning. but in some parts it was overdone lah.. haha what if the film was true? we are all in a illusionary reality made by machines when we are actually sleeping in cradles connected to the matrix.. hahaha.. i like the keymaker.. imagine having keys to everything in the world! i can go unlock safes and get money, get the lamborghini i want etc.. hahaha..
sigh.. combat phase started on friday.. no more lectures and lessons all day long but chiong suaing.. hope this gets by fast and i'm posted to a slack unit.. heh i want 8-5!!!!!! so i can learn how to drive soon.. can't wait to start driving.. so much more convenient..

tomorrow's labour day! labour day=public holiday=freedom! haha.. finally out again.. heh.. yesterday did my last IV poking for the 20G needle, which is quite small.. next week, we are starting with the 16G.. a needle that looks like a yakult straw... yikes i wonder how it would feel.. not too good i suppose.. we had a good laugh during our lesson today.. never laughed so hard in a long time.. heh.. the sergeant got the blur people of our section to do a demo of assessing and treating a casualty whose stomach was slashed and his guts were spilling and they took half an hour to turn the guy on his back! haha by that time the kway chap uncle can come get his stomach and intestines to go make kway chap already lah.. heh.. quite fun lah today.. and i have this sergeant in my platoon who is like 20 yrs old and he is already married with 2 children! makes one wonder.. how he does it.. i think its shotgun.. heh.. and he has that sort of innocent face also.. dun look capable of doing this sort of stuff.. heh..

I'm out in civilisation for my very first night's off! we get to book out and sleep at home for the night.. although its not long its very precious.. haha.. this SARS thing is getting bad man.. now we have to take our temperature every morning and night.. and i think they're gonna implement more measures just that they havent told us yet.. hope this thing ends soon.. although it looks like it'll take a long time.. yeah my mind's a blank now.. nothing much to crap about.. haha.. so cya on the weekend!

Hai why does time pass so pass.. this extra day went by so quickly.. have to go back to camp in about an hours time.. why cant i get a vocation that lets me go home everyday.. there's nothing to do there at night and there'e no trainee's lounge or anything.. they don't even give us newspapers to read.. haha there's only a snack machine that sucks all our money.. all we can do at night is sleep and eat.. why can't we do it at home? just because they built this accomodation block and they want us to use it.. haha.. sigh.. we can only lan lan suck thumb.. =)

haha felt cheated by the NKF show.. they say its a live broadcast.. but the outdoor performances are not! I saw them filming the bicycle stunt at bugis yesterday! haha

we went to farmart yesterday and it was so fun! we saw many animals and the puppies there were so cute.. there was this pair of jack russel puppies that were barely a few days old i think and they were so adorable i want to buy them! haha they look like "THE DOG"! haha their heads are just slightly oversized than their bodies and when they walk they look like they have problems balancing their head.. haha.. yeah it was very fun.. lets think of where to go next week! haha.. for now i don't have to book in today cos i'm down with food poisoning..

heya.. it turns out i had to go for the medic course after all.. so my days of going home everyday are over.. hai.. its been quite sian in the course cos we go for lessons and lectures everyday.. just like in school.. haha then we have to learn how to perform IV injections and we have to practice on each other.. so i've had my first of 10 IV infusions a few days ago.. it was not as painful as i expected but a lot of blood came out.. haha.. it's been quite interesting lah.. and now i'm also certified to perform CPR!! so next time any of you have a heart attack or choke on a fishball, don't forget to call me! I'll come save you.. haha.. oh yeah.. and enhui also noticed that my blog tempate is the same as shicai's.. ugh.. haha but i had this blog first!! so i have the copyright.. hahaha..

Hello! I'm back again.. turns out i'm not starting my medic course now cos i applied for medicine so they dun want us to disrupt halfway through the course.. so now i can book out everyday! haha shiok but the stupid camp is so far.. at nee soon while i'm at tampines.. hai at least i can book out huh.. heh.. now i should look for people to tutor in my free time so i can get extra bucks.. anyone has any lobang?

Block leave went by pretty fast... tomorrow have to go to my new camp liao.. hope i'll have quite an amount of free time.. then can get other jobs like tuition so i can earn more money.. the ns pay, or 'allowance' is peanuts lor.. hai.. then can save more money for next time and i can also get my tv.. haha.. well, will blog again when i come back from camp probably next weekend.. watch this space!

Hello.. Went to watch Oliver! today.. it was a very good show.. liked the songs.. the set was soooo nice.. y'all should watch it.. Fagin was very funny.. then we went to this Max Brenner chocolate shop in the esplanade and the hot chocolate was just heaven.. nothing ever tasted so good... haha.. try the suckao.. its good.. then matong today siao one.. keep on insisting i bluff her when i was telling the truth.. hai its hard being a good guy.. very sleepy already.. dunno what i shall do tomorrow.. no plans at all.. hmm.. shall find something to do.. nite!

POP loh!!! Finally the day has come!! I've completed BMT!! the passing out parade was today and it was a very memorable experience.. with our parents coming to help us put on our jockey caps and then us throwing our caps and trying to locate our cap in the ensuing jumble of caps on the ground.. haha.. went for the 24 km route march the night before and now my feet are full of blisters.. can't walk properly already.. i need to visit a foot reflexologist.. can finally take a break for one week before going to my new unit.. let's go play!!!

One week left and i would have completed BMT!! yay.. finally its over.. at home now on mc.. got a bit of bronchitis.. *cough* hai what a boring day.. but its still better than being in camp.. now everyone is on high alert due to the stupid war in iraq.. hai.. and cos of that i had to forego my long weekend to do guard duty on fri night.. so tiring.. walking around the school at the dead of the night.. as if we could do anything if someone does attack.. we are only giver 5 rounds! how many people can i kill! maybe many if they all stood in a straight line and i shoot through them.. haha.. thats all the crap for now.. better go pack my bag for book in later.. ciao..
